Me too i think that the difference between real and symbolyc machine is that the real machine can be have some type of boost that amplify the power or intent that the symbolic don't have. And this can explain because the symbolic machine is intended/limited only for diagnosys.
My humble opinion.

I agree with JosephMax. The device helps to ground and protect one from energies you don't want to get in tune with. You put the device between you and the target / patient. It is like a electrical fuse, it provide overcurrent protection. Or a optical filter, which allows you to observe the sun with your telescope and don't get blind.

Do you think that operator has to be in the physical vicinity of the machine in order to work it? Operator's intent within machine's etheric field?
