Hi, all!
I recently located a partial case of rimless 250 ml Corning Ware unmarked beakers. These things are beautiful to use as witness wells when constructing the Hieronymus instrument. They measure 68 mm wide and 90 mm deep. They fit perfectly in a 3 inch hole which allows room for the windings and black tape that is applied to the outside of the pyrex well (as per Bill Jensen's instructions). I install a 2.5 inch rubber grommet fit snuggly around the beaker and slide it within a 1/2 inch of the mouth. This seats the beaker nicely on the Garolite panel surface where it can be secured.
